Dr. Rakesh Vali

Dr. Rakesh Vali, DVM is the founder of Prithvi, Professional Corporation, a group based in Connecticut, USA. The group is led by Dr. Rakesh Vali, who practices small animal veterinary medicine and specializes in Canine Theriogenology.

Dr. Vali, DVM is the owner of two Veterinary Hospitals. His main hospital where he works is Mt Pleasant animal hospital for animals, which is located in Newtown, Connecticut and second hospital is located in New Fairfield, Connecticut. Both hospitals are recognized for their long-established local reputation along with its relaxing atmosphere, its state of the art veterinary equipment and its comprehensive suite of services.

Mt Pleasant Hospital is a full service, state of the art pet center certified by American animal hospital associate ( AAHA ) The hospital has been established in Newtown, Connecticut since its founding in 1997 by late Dr Brian Silverleib.

Fieldstone Veterinary Care, another veterinary clinic owned by Dr Vali, has been in the community for many years. Dr Vali took over this existing veterinary clinic in 2015 and transformed into a top notch veterinary practice which is Also Certified by AAHA.

Dr Vali is committed to advancing the community and inducts, regularly participating in events to support charitable causes, assisting local pet organizations, and contributing time and resources to canine games, clubs and activities. He also works to promotes dog games and veterinary medicine worldwide. Dr Vali is author to numerous articles on the practice of veterinary medicine. His wife Sumakshi Vali, is senior Vice president of banking at Webster bank, a northeast regional bank in Connecticut. His twin boys are in college now and pursuing their studies towards human and veterinary medicine.

Dr. Cary Brenner,DVM

Dr. Brenner graduated from from Iowa State University in 1982. Since 1983, Dr. Brenner has been practicing veterinary medicine in Connecticut, where he developed an interest in diagnostic ultrasound.

Dr. Brenner has worked for Veterinary Multiimaging and eVet Diagnostics for over 10 years. Dr. Brenner is available to perform on-site ultrasound studies for veterinary practices in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties in New York, and Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut..

At home, Dr. Brenner enjoys spending time with his wife, 5 children, and 4-legged family members.

Dr. Katelyn Bakewell ,DVM

Dr. Bakewell joined our team in 2014 as an associate. She graduated veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University. She was raised in New Milford with her mother, father, and younger brother. Dr. Bakewell currently lives with her husband and two cats, Francois and Mia. They enjoy visiting historical monuments and reading a good book!

Dr. Nadja Raver, DVM

Dr. Nadja Raver joins us from Mamaroneck Veterinary Hospital where she has worked for the last 14 years. She has a B.S. In Biology from Brandeis University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has a strong interest in community medicine and spay neuter services. She has worked for the ASPCA, New Rochelle Pet Rescue and several mobile clinics providing low cost spay and neuter services to the public. As a personal quirk she likes Star Wars, Star Trek and 80s movies and can often be found singing along to country music. Nadja lives in Sandy Hook with her husband, two sons, three Bouviers, a blind Poodle-Dachshund and a temperamental Chihuahua.
