Our accommodations are Safe, clean and fun, and is the ultimate pet destination. Every dog is taken outside for multiple potty breaks a day to our large, immaculately maintained outdoor areas designed exclusively for this maximum fun for your pet. If your dog participates in the outdoor leisure activities we offer, such as day care, extra walks, and other extra perks, our outdoor runs provides plenty of space and fresh air for your dog to enjoy playtime. Our indoor facilities offer three different layouts each designed with safety, comfort, and relaxation in mind

Stay N Play Drop of starts at 7am. Dog MUST pass Daycare Compatibility Evaluation PRIOR to Stay.

All overnight dogs must be up to date with the following vaccines 1 week before coming in:

Dogs: Bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, distemper, canine influenza, and a fecal test within the last 6 months.

Report cards are complimentary

You will receive 1 to 2 complimentary report cards depending on your pets stay via e-mail. Additional report cards can be added for purchase below. Please make sure your updated e-mail is on file.

Fees a night are per animal. There are discounts given to multi-pet families. If not picked up before 12 Noon, it will count as an additional day.

Off Peak: Boarding Check-In starts at 10 am to 12 (noon) pm and 2pm to 4pm

Unless pre-discussed and approved (additional fee)
This give us time to properly clean the rooms for our next guest.

Off Peak: Boarding Check-out starts at 10 am to 12 (noon) and 4pm to 6pm – any pick-ups after 12 will result in an additional day. Check Saturday availability.

We want to ensure all animals are properly let out to use the bathroom and fed before headed home.

If pick up before 12 noon, there is no additional fee for that day.
If receiving a grooming / go home bath / nail trims pick up is after 12, there will not be an extra charge for boarding if after 12 with these additional services only.

Peak: Boarding Check-ins are to arrive after 2 PM, 

unless they are participating in Stay and Play.

Peak: Boarding Check-outs are required to pick up by 1 PM.

Pick Ups are from 10am to 12pm to not get charged for an additional day. If picking up after 12 NOON, there will be another day added.

As we grow, in order to provide the level of service you (our paw-some clients!) come to us for, our pricing and/or policies will be changing for some services effective January 3, 2023. Starting this new year our operations will be more similar to a hotel to ensure a smoother experience for our clients. Full details for these necessary changes will be available to all of our clients online, in person, or by e-mail.

Starting this year, we will be implementing a cancellation policy. This policy will be in effect for boarding during all peak periods. Daycare is still required to reserve the week of.

During these times, we will require a card on file in order to make your reservation. If you need to cancel  your reservation, we ask that you notify us no less than 48 hours before the date you are scheduled to  drop off to avoid being charged. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are subject to a charge of $50 for the first pet, and $25 for each additional pet. Please contact us directly prior to the date of your reservation to make any necessary arrangements. We will do our best to accommodate you based on our occupancy. An early/late pick up, or an early/late drop off fee will apply. This policy is to ensure that we have a clean room ready for every guest.

Early / Late Pick Up and Drop offs:

Weekdays: $25.00

Weekend: $35.00

MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT 1 week prior. This applies for dog daycare and overnight reservations.


All dogs must be current on: Vaccinations against Rabies, Influenza and Bordetella, and a Fecal Test (every 6 months) Vaccinations against or titers for distemper, parvovirus and leptospirosis.

• If your dog is exhibiting any symptoms that may suggest illness such as sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny eyes or nose, vomiting, lethargy, or diarrhea, please do not bring your dog to playcare or boarding.

• Dogs with flea or tick problems will be treated at your expense.

• Un-spayed females in heat are must wait 35 days ( 4 weeks )  from beginning to attend daycare or boarding.

Although we accept un-neutered males and un-spayed females (not in heat) until 18 months for boarding services, Pleasant Paws Pet Center is not responsible for unplanned breeding. If your dog comes into heat while boarding, we will contact you and you will be expected to pick up your dog as soon as possible.

Rates and Hours of Operation 

Current rates and hours of operation are posted in the office and online. Pleasant Paws Pet Center reserves the right, without notice, to adjust its rates and fees for services.

Reservations and Cancellations  

Reservations are required for all stays. Deposits and/or cancellation fees may apply for extended stay and holiday/peak season bookings


All charges must be paid in full upon check-out of your pet(s). We accept cash, debit, check and credit card. If pets are staying longer than 2 weeks, a deposit of  ½ of the stay and a credit card are required. After the 2 weeks the credit card will be charged weekly.

Food and Feeding

Pleasant Paws Pet Center provides a premium chicken-based diet for all dogs. Because changing diet can upset a dog’s stomach, we require you to bring your dog’s own food in pre-bagged sealed portions and labeled. Please bring more than enough for your dog’s entire stay. If your dog requires a special diet and the supply you provided is exhausted during your dog’s stay, Pleasant Paws Pet Center will make every effort to procure the same or similar brand on your behalf, and you will be charged for the quantity purchased as well as a procurement fee.

·         We cannot take in large food bags, containers due to spacing.

·         We provide water and food bowls. If your pet needs a slow feeder, please let us know at the time of their drop off.

·         Canned food please leave in the can and let us know how much they are getting.

·         We have a fridge, freezer, and microwave.

·         If your pet(s) are staying for a longer period of time and require more food, we can purchase food for them and add to their invoice


If your dog is on medication and/or vitamin supplements leave them in the container that they came in. Please bring more than enough of each for your dog’s entire stay. If the supply of medications or supplements you provided is exhausted during your dog’s stay, Pleasant Paw Pet Center will make every effort to procure essential medications only, and you will be charged for the quantity purchased as well as a procurement fee. Charges may apply for the administration of medications and/or supplements; please see our current fee schedule.  If your pet needs more medical care or certain conditions, we do require them to stay over night at our sister location – Mt. Pleasant Hospital for Animals as they have technicians available every day.

·         4 medications and under there is an additional $10.00 per day.

·         5 & Over Medication Administration is $18.00 per day.

Personal Items 

Do not bring items with your dog(s) that are valuable or irreplaceable. Due to space constraints, unfortunately we cannot accommodate personal bedding and bowls. One Bed is allowed from home for our Luxury boarders. In addition, due to the number of guests we may have at any one time, staff cannot guarantee the safety of your pet with items left in their run unattended, and therefore no kongs, toys, etc may be left with guests. Pleasant Paw Pet Center is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal item, including bedding or toys, left with or for your dog(s).

Abandoned Dog/Animal Procedure 

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, if you fail to pick up your dog(s) by the designated time and have failed to make satisfactory alternative arrangements with Pleasant Paw Pet Center, Pleasant Paw Pet Center will continue to provide basic service to ensure the dog’s health and safety, and charges will continue to accrue. Pleasant Paw Pet Center will make best efforts to contact you using the information you provided, advising you that if your dog(s) is not picked up within a reasonable time period, your dog(s) will be deemed to be abandoned and that Pleasant Paw Pet Center will deliver the dog(s) to a third-party adoption partner or to Newtown Animal Control. You understand that you may lose ownership of your dog(s) under these circumstances. If you fail to pick up your dog(s) for any reason, you release Pleasant Paw Pet Center from all further liability and responsibility for your dog(s). You shall remain liable to Pleasant Paw Pet Center for all unpaid charges, including without limitation the court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred in the collection of such charges

Closed Dates & Information:

The facility is closed on the following holidays – our customer service representatives will not be here to answer phone calls or check e-mails. This will be checked and answered only during business hours.

There also is no pick-up or drop offs on days our office is closed and, on these dates, below.

Pet Care Routine When Closed

Our animal care takers will still be here to care for all our guests. Stay N Play guests may have a slight shift in routine as they have smaller play groups with other guests that are signed up for Stay N Play. Phones and emails are not answered on days we are closed.
